Description

Polyurethane foam, better known as foam rubber, is derived from a mixture of polyol and flexible isocyanate. The materials we supply are produced using a "slab stock" process. This production method allows you to obtain huge blocks of foam with sectional dimensions of 210X110 cm and even over 100 meters long, subsequently sectioned to obtain workable formats. This system allows us to obtain artisan products from the blocks for each application, in a very short time and at low costs. The waste is completely recycled to obtain by-products such as agglomerates or ground materials for furniture padding.

Technical features

The flexible polyurethane foams (PUR) are polymeric, elastic, solid and open-cell materials. The flexible polyurethane foams are non-toxic, as regards the current knowledges. These are flammable materials, therefore they must not be exposed near sources of heat, since the flame - once started - rapidly propagates.

Physical and chemical properties

Outward appearence: flexible micro-cellular material, more or less elastic, in several colours; it is commercialized in vorious formats, such as blocks, boards, rolls or artefacts.
Solubility in water: insoluble; it swells up on the strenght of the kind of the solvent.
Odour: very feeble own odour.
Density: from 15 to 300 kg/m©¯.
Temperature of resolution: > 180°C
Temperature of self-ignition: > 400° C
Calorific value: 28.000 kj/kg.
Explosive value: none
